And the Little One Said "Roll Over"

BK has mastered the art of rolling over.  He first rolled over mid May when we were visiting a friend in Detroit when he woke up in his pack and play in a strange place and was so startled he rolled over.  The later that week, he rolled over at daycare but for weeks we would get reports that BK rolled over but we didn't really start seeing him consistently roll over until last weekend.

NOW....its all he wants to do..."that is so cute" you might say but he wants to roll over in the most inappropriate places like off the bed, off the sofa, in the bathtub, out of Mommy's arms, when he is in his bouncy seat, out of the bumbo seat, in the car seat, off the Boppy pillow, off the changing table, and everywhere else. It scares the crap out of me but also makes me so proud that he is developing and changing.  It makes me think of the song Ten In The Bed, which is now becoming a regular tune around the Knight household.

He has not rolled off of anything (yet) and I pray that he does not but it is posing some challenges now that he is more mobile especially in the morning when he is awake and we are trying to get ready-- no more playing on the middle of the bed without constant supervision, as in within arms length.  So into the bathroom on the floor mat he goes with us rolling and laughing all the way.
